All students follow the same curriculum in years 7, 8 and 9. The teaching groups are usually the same as their form groups so that girls get to know each other better as they start moving through the school.
During these three years everyone studies English, maths, history, geography, Latin, religious studies, art and design, music, drama, PE and a modern language (a beginner's course in French, German or Mandarin Chinese). We teach a combined science course in year 7 and separate biology, chemistry and physics courses from year 8 onwards. IT is taught as a foundation lesson inn year 7 and then integrated across the curriculum for following years.
Besides the academic timetable, we do everything we can to help girls settle into school and teenage life. We organise team-building activities for year 7 and 8, starting with the induction day itself. Our many clubs and societies and the sister scheme make it easy for girls to build new friendships outside their own year groups.
