We've come a long way from chalk and blackboards – nearly all our classrooms have projectors, interactive whiteboards and visualisers, DVD/video players and a set of speakers installed in a bespoke teaching desk.
The visualisers have replaced old-fashioned overhead projectors – you can project an image of anything by putting it under the camera and even use it to take photographs. Some rooms contain extra workstations for students and can be used for lunchtime and after-school activities.
Our interactive whiteboards are controlled by PC workstations and let you project the desktop on to the board, making it easy to take advantage of the growing number of online teaching resources. Anything you've done on the board while teaching – for instance, a collaborative mind map – can be saved on to our network. We use short-throw projectors with most of our whiteboards to limit shadowing on the screen.
