Year 7

An integrated course introducing students to the common themes of science before biology, chemistry and physics classes from year 8 onwards. The living world; heating things (a chance to develop observational and measuring skills); our place in the universe; how our sense organs detect our environment; how chemistry can differentiate between substances; how particles and electrical circuits work; introduction to human reproduction.

From year 8 onwards, the science curriculum separates into biology, chemistry and physics.
