Year 8

The life and basic teachings of Jesus Christ; some key Christian concepts (incarnation, atonement and resurrection); the philosophy of religion (arguments for and against the existence of God); Hinduism, including a visit to the mandir in Neasden.

Year 9

Absolute and relative ethics; utilitarianism; Kant's ethical thinking; the problems of multiculturalism; applying secular or religious ethical theories to contemporary moral problems.

Year 10

Beginning of the GCSE course covering various aspects of Christianity and Islam (basic beliefs and ethical values; communities and traditions; coursework on a church building)

Year 11

Worship; celebration; living the Christian/Muslim life; coursework on Sufism.

Year 12

Introduction to religious ethics and the philosophy of religion; coursework investigation on any theological topic you like.

Year 13

Continuing year 12 work on religious ethics and the philosophy of religion; overview exam paper on religious experience, encouraging students to relate their studies to broader human contexts.
