Girls normally enter the school at 11 or 16 years of age.
Vacancies may occur in the second, third and fourth years of the school. Girls are normally required to live with a parent in London during termtime.
First Year
Girls are normally under 12 years of age on 31 August prior to entering the School in Autumn of the same year. Underage candidates may be considered. The Registration and Examination Entry Forms must both be completed by the end of November of the previous year. Entries cannot be accepted after that date. Places are offered as a result of an entrance procedure in the Spring Term preceding entry.
For entry in Autumn 2009, the examination will be held on Friday 30 January 2009. All girls will be interviewed during January.
Middle School
Vacancies may become available in the second, third and fourth years of the school. An entrance examination may be held in the Spring Term. Please contact the Registrar for further information.
Senior School
Girls are normally under 17 years of age on 31 August prior to entering the School in Autumn of the same year. The Registration and Examination Entry Forms must be completed by the 24th October of the previous year. We accept approximately twenty candidates each year at the start of the two-year Advanced Level course.
Places are offered as a result of a two-day entrance procedure held in November preceding entry. Candidates work written tests and are interviewed in the subjects they propose to study at AS and at A Level. Tests in subjects not previously studied (eg Economics or History of Art) are not tests of knowledge but designed to assess aptitude. All candidates are interviewed by the High Mistress or a Senior member of staff.
For entry in Autumn 2009, the examinations will be held on Tuesday 4th November 2008 and interviews will be held on Saturday 15th November for short listed candidates.
A Supplementary entrance examination for girls who have not already sat the entry procedure for 16+ entry may be held in the Spring Term each year. Please contact the Registrar for further details.
