St Paul's Girls' School - Creating opportunities for talented young women

Campaign progress

The Centenary Campaign aims to raise a total of £12 million, £6.8 of which will be spent on capital projects (including brand new classroom extension), and £5.2 million on Bursaries and Outreach.

To date, following the launch of the Centenary Campaign we are delighted to announce our total has now risen to £8 million of the £12 million target.

We are highly indebted to all our donors who collectively so far have given or pledged an extraordinarily generous amount. The remaining has been donated by the Mercer's Company as a matching gift. The Mercers will continue to match £2 for every £1 donated to Centenary Building Projects, up to £3.75 million.

But we still have a long way to go! Every donation is important to us and no gift is too small. Donations may be spread over a period of up to three years, and may be made in cash or shares to take full advantage of tax benefits.

We need your help to access the Mercers' matched funding!

Why we need funds

  • SPGS has no endowment of its own from which to meet its long-term financial requirements and its revenue is fully committed to the operating costs of the school.
  • Some of the school facilities need to be improved to meet the requirements for a school in the 21st Century.
  • We must increase bursary funding to attract talented students from culturally and environmentally diverse backgrounds.
