Every year the school produces a whole host of publications, from student run newspapers and periodicals to more official school magazines. The main student newspaper is The Marble, which last year swept the board at the Shine School Media awards. As well as winning best design/layout, best overall editorial content and best strategy, the team was also awarded the overall gold award. The paper was deemed to be “head and shoulders above the rest with intelligent writing, provocative subjects and with a good range of content”. Girls are also encouraged to set up their own subject-specific papers; there has been a modern languages magazine and a sports bulletin in the last year, for example. Our main school magazine is Paulina, which comes out annually. This year it was completely redesigned and given an over-arching theme – revolution. Click the image above to view it. We have also just started a fortnightly newsletter, The Bulletin, which records recent news and achievements and flags up upcoming events.
Our development office publishes The Review every term, keeping the wider St Paul's community in touch with the school. Once a year, we also send out an update on the progress of the bursary campaign (the most recent report appeared in December 2010).
Parents and girls who are considering an application to St Paul's should start by reading our prospectus as well as the information about joining us on this website. You can also see our latest ISI inspection report.
Each year we hold a birthday concert in memory of Gustave Holst, our first – and illustrious – director of music. This year was a particularly important occasion as it marked the official opening of the refurbished singing hall and the retirement of our head of piano, John York. A special programme was commissioned. Click the image to view the programme.
