Sweet Charity

Energetic and full of verve, Sweet Charity, the long awaited autumn production, delighted its packed first night audience. The keenly observed history of the varied life of a New York dance hall hostess presented an unsparing portrayal of the hilarious ups, tragic downs and bitter sweet dead ends of life, charting the hapless romances of our heroine Charity Hope Valentine from jilted girlfriend to abandoned fiancé.

We are thrilled that Alexandra Power in V has been named a 2011 Young Geographer of the Year. The competition was organised by the Royal Geographical Society (RGS) and all MIV, V and VII entered. Alexandra won the category for 14-16 year olds.
