In years 10 and 11 your personal timetable begins to depend on your GCSE options, although everyone studies the mandatory subjects of biology, chemistry, English (language and literature), maths, physics and their first modern language. In art and design and music, we offer school directed courses instead of GCSEs so that we can draw on the expertise of our staff and nourish the creativity of our students.

Your first modern language is the one you started to study in year 7 (French, German or Mandarin Chinese). You can also take French, German or Mandarin as a second modern language instead and even add a third one (Italian, Russian or Spanish) if you'd like.
