Rowing for Great Britain

This summer I was selected to represent Great Britain at the European Junior Rowing Championships (the Coupe de la Jeunesse) held in Linz, Austria. I was selected to row in the coxless

four and the eight and we had a month's training to get ready to race. Training three times a day took its toll, so much so that one week before the championships I became ill with tonsillitis and had to pull out of the eight. I managed to recover just in time to race the coxless four in both finals, and we achieved 4th place both days, helping Great Britain to win the women's overall trophy.
