LV (year 9) geography trip to Malham, North YorkshireLast weekend 44 members of the LV went on a geography trip led by their head of year, Miss Harris, who is leaving this term. The weekend was focused on an exhilarating 5 mile hike from Malham village, a tourist honeypot site, all the way to the highly protected Malham Tarn, the lake near which they were staying. This hike took them through rugged rural limestone landscapes of coves, pavements and dry valleys, across bogs and around rivers. The girls also saw underground limestone features during their visit to the Ingleborough show cave. They were able to visit working farms and help with the field studies centre’s conservation efforts
