Japan TripFollowing the signing of a sister school agreement in September, four Paulinas and four Paulines flew to Japan during the October half term as guests of Jishukan High School, Toyohashi. Staying with host families, the girls were able to immerse themselves in Japanese culture and daily life, and benefit from some extraordinarily generous hospitality. The group spent three days at Jishukan High School helping with English conversation classes and making friends. We also visited Tokyo and the ancient capital Kyoto, with its many UNESCO World Heritage Sites. An unexpected highlight was watching the girls individually address over a thousand schoolchildren in Japanese, something which was much appreciated by our hosts.
