Since there are over a hundred activities to choose from, learning how to manage time is the key to getting the most out of being at St Paul's when students join us.

I've started the oboe, singing and organ since I got here and I've learned lacrosse and tennis.

Some of the most popular clubs and societies for year 7 girls are improvised drama, the science club, the chess club, debating, the junior maths club, the Chinese and Russian clubs, the junior book club and various music groups. Many of these activities take place during the lunch break and students can often just drop in. From time to time, every tutor group also organises events to raise money for charity. Students can even apply to start a society themselves if their favourite activity isn't already running.

I like music and drama – I'm in the choir and in plays. The range of ages made St Paul's feel warm and friendly when I joined.

Longer-term commitments require regular attendance and might need girls to stay after school for an hour or so. These include the junior choir, the junior orchestra and any sports teams, drama productions or dance events that a student might try out for. Sports fixtures usually take place on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Occasionally, there are also matches at the weekend.
