Barbados Trip Day 5

This morning we were a group of eleven but now we are sadly ten, as after lunch today we said goodbye to Nell, but only once we had had a relaxing morning on the beach. We explored the Bajan coastline a little further and reached the main beach where the surf was high. We spent all morning lying on the sand and crashing through the waves.

After a pleasant lunch at a beachside restaurant we returned to the hotel to prepare for our afternoon match against Belleplaine club. Unfortunately for us the rain struck at the end of the first quarter and dampened our fiery spirits. We found that the weather we are accustomed to in England did not play to our advantage as we have all adapted to the hot weather here. Although we lost our match 19-13 we had not lost our enthusiasm as we sang along to Barbados’s own, Rihanna all the way back to the hotel.
